While my Google AdSense earnings fluctuates from time to time, I’ve had a huge drop for those coming from HomeMusician.net. Usually these drops can last for 3-4 days but right now I’ve been earning a lot less for the last 4 weeks. Whereas I used to earn an average of $0.15 to $0.20 per click, I now get about $0.01 to $0.05. Now I knew that this kind of website would never earn a lot from advertisements but come on. I barely made $3.93 for 104 clicks!
Last week I sent an email to Google and they responded fast (gotta give that to them, they always replied fast in my case). I told them that I DID click once on my ad by mistake but I wasn’t afraid it could affect my earnings since it never happened before. They replied by telling me that nothing was wrong with my account and sent me the usual “google tips” (place as many ads as you can, test with different formats and colors, blablabla…).
I’ve got almost 200 Made For AdSense websites filtered out but some new ones pop out on my web site once in a while. So I browsed my site’s main pages through a bunch of proxies (so that I can see ads that appear in other countries) and they weren’t many MFA sites appearing in my AdSense ads.
Most of the temporary drops I’ve encountered before could usually be explained by the end-of-the-month-drop where the advertiser’s budget is running low. Now I wonder if a major advertiser could have pulled out or something. Or does it have to do with Google’s stock hitting a new high of near $700? (I don’t remember how much exactly but right now it’s at $638).
I am thinking about either using asRep to track clicks or switching to other sources of advertising.

You site might have been manually reviewed and penalized for having AdSense splashed all over the page. It might be time to try out affiliate offers which might work better for you than the pennies from AdSense. Just my two cents (pun intended!)

Yes I guess you are right. I’ve found a few CPA campaigns I’ll test over the next weeks. Thank you for your comment!
