OpenAds is a free great ad serving tool that I’ve been using for years now (back when it was called phpAdsNew). Since version 2.3 beta came out, you have the possiblity of specifying on which pages you want your ads to be displayed. In fact, this was possible before but you had to use a plugin or modify some of the scripts. Prior to version 2.3, you also had to use the PHP invocation code to make use of this delivery option.
Lately I made a review about one of my favorite SEO software, Axandra’s IBP & Arelis. I did want to include an image of the product at the top of the review but it kinda sucked visually since my Wordpress template shows a 250×250 ad at the top of every post.
So what I’ve done is that I got a banner from Axandra’s website an added it to my OpenAds inventory. In order to have it displayed on my review page only, I’ve added a delivery option so that it would appear only when the page URL contained seo-software-review.

Then to make sure that it’s only this particular ad that’s being shown, increase it’s weight to let’s say 100 or 1000:

Great tip, Stephane. I came across phpAdsNew a while back but never really put it to good use since I was using AdSense Gold for tracking. Now that my AdSense days are over, I’m returning to more traditional affiliate marketing and I’m starting to deploy OpenAds for split-testing and rotating through my inventory.
